Who is responsible?
This website is operated by INAI CONNECT LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 12974612. Registered office: Orient House, Newton Street, Hyde, SK14 4RY, United Kingdom.
ASI is the company’s public-facing applied AI systems, research and architecture work. INAI CONNECT LTD is responsible for deciding how the enquiry information it receives is used.

When you browse.
The website code does not add analytics, advertising trackers, cookies, browser-storage features, external fonts or AI API calls. It does not request access to a microphone, camera or your files. Ordinary browser caching and hosting security processing are separate from these features.
The public site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub states that it records visitor IP addresses for security, whether or not a visitor is signed in. Hosting a static page therefore does not mean a visit creates no technical records.

When you contact us.
The enquiry helper prepares a draft in your email application. It does not send the message to ASI or to a website enquiry server. Your email application or provider may store a draft after you open it. We receive the message only when you choose to send it and it is delivered.
Information received may include your name, email address, organisation or role, message, email metadata and any attachments you choose to send. We use relevant information to answer your question, provide requested support and manage the resulting correspondence.
You choose whether to contact us. No information is required merely to browse. Without a reply address and enough detail, we may be unable to answer. Please do not send passwords, payment details, full personal file catalogues or sensitive information unless we have agreed an appropriate route.
Why we use enquiry information.
For ordinary correspondence, our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to people who approach us, providing support and managing relevant business enquiries. Our use must be necessary and proportionate, with your rights and expectations taken into account.
Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request towards a contract with you personally, or to perform that contract, we rely on the contract basis. Where a specific law requires us to retain or disclose a record, we rely on that legal obligation.
An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. The website has no connected AI assistant and does not make automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects. Enquiry text is not submitted to an AI service by this website.
How long we keep enquiries.
Routine enquiries that do not lead to an ongoing customer relationship are retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, and deleted sooner when they are no longer needed.
We review routine enquiries monthly, including messages approaching their retention deadline. Records needed for ongoing work, contracts or legal obligations are handled separately and retained only for their necessary purposes.
This policy concerns enquiry records we manage. Provider security logs and residual backup copies follow the applicable provider’s retention and deletion arrangements. Those arrangements are not a reason to continue using an enquiry after our retention purpose has ended.
Who handles the information?
Enquiries are handled by people authorised to respond for INAI CONNECT LTD, and by email and IT service providers needed to deliver, store and protect correspondence. Information may be shared with professional advisers or relevant authorities when necessary for a specific legal obligation or legal claim.
The public enquiry helper addresses messages to asicai@protonmail.com, using Proton Mail. Proton describes processing email metadata and incoming-message security checks in its Mail privacy policy. Company-domain correspondence also passes through the email providers serving that address.
We do not sell enquiry information or add correspondents to an advertising list. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy arrangements.
Services outside the UK.
Service providers may process information outside the UK. GitHub describes processing in the United States and other countries and explains its contractual safeguards and participation in the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework in its privacy statement.
Proton states that its Mail servers are located in Switzerland, Germany or Norway. These destinations are covered by UK adequacy arrangements. Email delivery also involves the sending and receiving providers, so this website does not promise UK-only processing or end-to-end encryption for every message.
For restricted transfers we arrange, an applicable UK adequacy arrangement or other legally recognised safeguard is required. Contact us to ask about the providers and safeguards relevant to your correspondence, or to request a copy of applicable safeguards.
Your information rights.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or restriction of its use. Data portability applies where its legal conditions are met; it does not apply merely because we rely on legitimate interests.
Contact asicai@protonmail.com. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity before acting. Rights can be subject to legal exceptions; we will explain when a request cannot be fulfilled.
You may raise a concern with us and complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. See how to complain to the ICO. You do not have to obtain our permission to complain.
Your right to object.
You can object to our use of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests, for reasons relating to your particular situation.
We must stop that processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is needed for legal claims. Contact asicai@protonmail.com to exercise this right.
AiFILE and future services.
The current AiFILE beta is designed to catalogue folders the user explicitly chooses and to keep its catalogue and project notes on that Mac. Source files remain in their original locations. Visiting this website does not give it access to that catalogue or those files.
The beta does not connect to a live email inbox. Saved EML files can be searched, and Apple Notes are included only when explicitly imported. Any diagnostic material you deliberately send for support is handled as correspondence; share only what is needed.
The final public AiFILE release will carry version-specific privacy and support notes before its download is opened. Its beta demonstration is not a substitute for that notice. AiFILE status · Support.
We will review this notice before adding analytics, a connected AI assistant or a server-side enquiry service, and obtain consent where required. The decorative orb is not a listening or watching device.
